Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 Celebrates 113 Trailblazing Entities in Thriving Sector

HANOI, VIETNAM – In a significant acknowledgment of the nation’s burgeoning tourism industry, the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 ceremony was held today, recognizing 113 outstanding collectives and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional contributions and innovation. The prestigious event, coinciding with World Tourism Day on September 27th, underscored Vietnam’s unwavering commitment to developing a smart, culturally rich, and sustainable tourism sector.

The ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, saw the attendance of high-ranking government officials, industry leaders, and international delegates. Among the esteemed guests were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Văn Chính, head of the National Steering Committee for Tourism, and Tạ Văn Hạ, Deputy Chairman of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. Representatives from various ministries, central agencies, local authorities, diplomatic corps, international organizations, and the business community also graced the occasion.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Văn Chính, in his keynote address, emphasized the multifaceted nature of tourism, describing it not merely as an economic sector but as an “industry of experiences and emotions,” a vital “art of connection” that actively promotes Vietnam’s image as a friendly and hospitable nation. He highlighted that the recent achievements in Vietnamese tourism are a testament to a sustainable development strategy that prioritizes service quality and cultural values, while vigorously driving digital transformation and fostering a smart tourism ecosystem.

This year’s awards hold particular significance as Vietnam commemorates several major historical milestones: 80 years of the August Revolution and National Day, 80 years of the Traditional Day of the Culture Sector, and 65 years of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Tourism Industry. The timing of the awards ceremony on World Tourism Day further solidifies the nation’s dedication to advancing its tourism landscape.
